Andra Farizki Ramdhani, a 10th-grade student at People’s High School (SRMA 10) in South Jakarta, is a testament to resilience and determination. Raised by a single mother who is the family’s sole breadwinner, Andra has not let his circumstances hold him back. Thanks to the People’s School initiative, a program launched by President Prabowo Subianto, Andra now has the opportunity to pursue a proper education.
Despite facing financial challenges, Andra expressed his gratitude for the People’s School, which has given him hope for a brighter future. The boarding school setting has been both a challenge and a reward for him, as he navigates being away from his family but finds solace in the camaraderie of his classmates.
Andra appreciates the well-equipped facilities at SRMA 10, which provide a conducive learning environment that keeps him engaged and focused. Engaging in extracurricular activities like judo and being part of various student organizations has further enriched his educational experience.
With dreams of becoming a judo athlete and pursuing higher education at the Defense University (Unhan), Andra’s ambitions are fueled by his mother’s unwavering support. He sees the People’s School as a platform for underprivileged children like himself to strive for excellence without the financial burden that often comes with education.
As Andra continues to pursue his aspirations with determination and his mother’s blessings, he embodies the spirit of resilience and hope that the People’s School aims to instill in its students. Through his journey at SRMA 10, Andra is not just gaining knowledge but also fostering independence and a strong sense of purpose. His story is a testament to the transformative power of education and the belief that dreams, no matter how big, are always within reach.
