President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, graced the Singapore National Day Parade on Saturday, coinciding with the city-state’s 60th Independence Day celebrations. This annual observance on August 9 commemorates Singapore’s independence in 1965. President Prabowo arrived at Paya Lebar Airbase at 3:40 p.m. local time, accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
After the official airport welcome, the President proceeded to his hotel, where Indonesian citizens, diaspora members, students, and Indonesian Embassy officials in Singapore eagerly awaited his arrival. President Prabowo personally greeted everyone, fostering a warm and familial atmosphere that was met with cheers and applause from the expatriate community, including university students.
