President Prabowo Launches Village Cooperative Program in Klaten

Prabowo Subianto, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, visited Klaten, Central Java, on July 21, 2025, to inaugurate the Merah Putih Village Cooperative Program. The program is a key initiative of his administration aimed at boosting rural economies and creating new jobs. During his journey, President Prabowo was warmly welcomed by enthusiastic residents, teachers, and schoolchildren who lined the roadside to greet him. The crowd cheered and called out his name as his motorcade passed by. Dressed in a brown suit and black peci (cap), President Prabowo emerged from the sunroof of his vehicle to greet the public, smiling and waving continuously. The official launch ceremony of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative took place in Bentangan Village, Wonosari District. This program is an integral part of President Prabowo’s economic agenda, with plans to establish over 80,000 cooperatives across Indonesia by October 28, 2025. The cooperatives are designed to strengthen rural economies, improve farmers’ terms of trade, and promote inclusive development from the village level upwards. The President’s visit to Klaten was met with excitement and support from the local residents who eagerly gathered along the roadside to catch a glimpse of him.
